Held in Barcelona on June 30, it was attended by more than 90 people, 40 of whom attended in person.

With the aim of addressing issues related to dam safety and the comprehensive, environmental, and sustainable control and management of water resources, the Conference on Dams and Comprehensive Water Resources Management was successfully held on June 30th. It was organized by Spancold, the Catalan Water Agency, and the headquarters of the Association of Civil Engineers (Associación de Caminos, Canales y Puertos). The conference consisted of eight presentations and a roundtable discussion led by a panel of experts in the various fields, featuring examples of experiences in dam replacement and safety improvement projects.
The final presentation was given by Jürgen Fleitz (General Manager of OFITECO) and Antonio Vaquero (Director of the Studies and Projects Department at HCC). Jürgen Fleitz presented concepts and examples of dam rehabilitation, highlighting its importance and the challenges it poses, and concluding with a presentation of various ongoing projects, including those of the Darnius-Boadella dam (Girona), La Llosa del Cavall (Lleida), Bornos (Cádiz), Béznar (Granada), Rules (Granada), La Concepción (Málaga) and Baells (Barcelona).
