OFITECO takes part at ANCOLD Conference 2018
OFITECO presented its recent experiences in dam rehabilitation and the remote surveillance of dams using CCTV at the main event for dam professionals in Australia.
Dam operators, scientists and consultants have met this year in Melbourne, Victoria, at ANCOLD’s Annual Conference, in order to share experiences and stay up to date in technology, organisation and operating culture. This edition’s theme is “Dams: Evolving with Modern Technology”. The program, with speakers from the main Australian water organisation, contractors and consultants, was focused on dam design, modern investigation techniques, dam operations & maintenance, emergency management and extreme events.
During the Forum, OFITECO gave a presentation with the theme “Remediation Study of a Multiple-Arch Dam Built with Precast Elements and Several Combined Pre-Stressed Steel Systems”, taken from our recent experiences in dam rehabilitation. We also shared our expertise in the use of TCP/IP technologies for dam safety using CCTV, in a presentation called “Experiences in the Use of TCP/IP Technologies and IP Cameras for Remote Surveillance of Dams”. We included some case studies of these capabilities from our recent contracts.
Participation in international forums is a major commitment for OFITECO, which consolidates and specialises the company as a reference in dam safety.
