On September 23, the 13.6-kilometer Torreperogil-Villacarrillo section connecting the Úbeda-Torreperogil section with the Villacarrillo-Villanueva del Arzobispo section was opened to traffic.
In September 2018, the General Directorate of Roads and OFITECO formalized the contract for the control and supervision of the works. During this time, OFITECO has ensured compliance with the contract conditions and guaranteed the proper execution of the works, including the resolution of technical issues and incidents.
A total of 11 structures have been built along this section: six overpasses, four underpasses, and one viaduct.
After four years of work, this section has been put into service. The opening ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Transport, Mobility, and Urban Agenda (MITMA), Raquel Sánchez.
The opening of this section will result in travel time savings and reduced pollution levels, as well as improved safety and mobility in the area.
With the execution of this contract, OFITECO reaffirms its position as a leading company in the sector, expanding its extensive experience in the control and monitoring of highway construction projects.
