OFITECO will be responsible for preparing technical projects associated with maintenance actions across ADIF’s railway network. These projects cover interventions related to track infrastructure, electrification, substations, signalling and telecommunications. The objective of these works is to enhance safety, remove temporary speed restrictions and improve the overall reliability of railway operations.
This contract includes the complete development of each project, from the initial review of available documentation through to the preparation of the final design. The scope of work covers field data collection, asset inventories, topographical surveys and, where required, geological and geotechnical studies. It also includes route definition, drainage assessment, structural analysis and the identification of all measures necessary to ensure safe and efficient railway operation.
In addition, the projects must incorporate the technical annexes required by ADIF, including risk analysis, interoperability assessments, environmental integration studies, waste management documentation and information needed for land acquisition procedures.
OFITECO will prepare the projects assigned under the different lots defined by ADIF’s Operations Sub-Directorates. Its role will focus on technical coordination, document development and adaptation of the designs to ADIF’s internal review and approval processes. The company will be responsible for tailoring the proposed solutions to the specific conditions of each section, addressing review comments and implementing any required modifications.
The entire process will be supported by ADIF’s information management methodology. To this end, work will be carried out within the organisation’s Common Data Environment, applying document traceability criteria throughout all stages of project development.
This contract represents a significant contribution to the planning of future maintenance and investment programmes. By ensuring that each intervention is supported by a technically robust, comprehensive and regulation-compliant project, OFITECO will help advance a more efficient maintenance strategy and promote safe and sustainable railway operations across the network managed by ADIF.
