OFITECO underground works monitoring

In November 2017, OFITECO attended the 16th Australasian Tunneling Conference taking place in Sydney, Australia. This major event brings tunnelling professionals, government agencies, consultants and academics together in order to share experiences and keep up to date with the latest tunnelling key issues and past or future projects. A complete technical program was delivered during three days, including planning and development aspects, construction methodologies, geotechnics, auxiliary systems, design and digital technologies applied to tunnelling. The conference featured keynote speakers from the main construction companies present in Australia and New Zealand, as well as officials, scientists, consultants and tunnel operators.

The program was completed with a site tour to two iconic tunnelling projects being currently built in Sydney, NortConnex and WestConnex.

Participation in international forums is a major commitment for OFITECO, which consolidates and specialises the company as a reference in the instrumentation and monitoring of urban tunnels.
