Gaining first-hand insight into the challenges facing Latin American infrastructure is essential for developing solutions that deliver tangible impact. With this in mind, OFITECO has decided to attend the 2nd Latin American Meeting of Tunnel and Underground Space Associations, held in Lima from 15 to 17 October this year, further strengthening its ties with a region where the company is involved in strategic projects related to the monitoring and management of critical infrastructure.
By attending this meeting, one of the leading technical and strategic forums for professionals involved in the design, construction and operation of underground infrastructure in the region, OFITECO reinforces its commitment to supporting the development of strategic infrastructure across Latin America. The company brings technological solutions aimed at contributing to safer, more efficient and sustainable management of urban transport systems.
Participation in this forum is particularly relevant for OFITECO due to its direct involvement in one of the region’s most significant underground infrastructure projects currently under development, Line 2 of the Lima Metro. This project comprises more than 34 kilometres of tunnels and 35 underground stations and includes activities such as the design of the monitoring plan, implementation and automation of monitoring systems, data management and implementation of the TunnelData platform.
This experience provides highly valuable technical expertise for the exchange of knowledge during the meeting and brings practical solutions already applied to a highly complex infrastructure project into the wider industry discussion.
By attending this meeting, OFITECO aims to strengthen its relationships with public authorities, operators, contractors and consultants across the region, while identifying new needs and opportunities for the application of advanced monitoring, data management and risk control solutions.
